For the Wrap
  • 5 medium tortilla wraps Soft and pliable, they act as the cozy blanket for your filling.
  • 5 slices American cheese Creamy and melty, a true cheeseburger essential.
  • 2 Roma tomatoes sliced Fresh and juicy, providing a pop of color and taste.
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce Crisp and refreshing, adding texture to each bite.
  • to taste diced onions Optional for those who enjoy an extra crunch.
  • to taste condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, relish) Optional, personalize your wraps.

Method

Cooking the Beef
  1. In a large skillet coated with cooking spray, set your stove to medium heat and add the lean ground beef. Cook until it's almost fully browned but still a little pink, which should take about 7-10 minutes, breaking it up into smaller pieces for even cooking.
Seasoning the Beef
  1. Once the beef is no longer pink, stir in the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, grated parmesan, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Finishing the Meat Mixture
  1. Continue cooking the beef mixture until it's completely browned and no longer pink in the center, about another 3-5 minutes.
Assembling the Wrap
  1. Grab a tortilla wrap and in the center, place a slice of American cheese, followed by about 1/3 cup of the beef mixture. Top with slices of Roma tomato and a handful of romaine lettuce.
Adding Condiments
  1. Drizzle your choice of ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise over the filling.
Rolling the Wrap
  1. Carefully roll up the tortilla, tucking in the sides as you go to keep all the delicious fillings inside. Place the wrap seam side down on a preheated indoor grill.
Grilling the Wrap
  1. Grill the wrap for about 3-4 minutes, until grill marks form. Flip the wrap and grill for another 3-4 minutes for an even, golden finish.
Serving
  1. Remove the wrap from the grill and set aside. Repeat the grilling process with the remaining wraps and serve them immediately, still warm.

Notes

Consider mixing in some chopped pickles or jalapeños into your beef mixture for added flavor. Use black beans or lentils for a vegetarian option. Wrap each finished wrap in foil to retain warmth when serving multiple people.
