  • 8 oz cream cheese Rich and creamy.
  • 1 cup water Helps in creating the sauce consistency.
  • ½ cup whole milk or heavy cream Adds extra creaminess.
  • 2 tsp salt Essential for enhancing flavors.
  • 1 tsp cracked pepper Adds warmth and spice.
  • 4 cups pasta or egg noodles (cooked al dente) The perfect base for the dish.
  • to taste fresh green onions or cilantro (chopped, to garnish) For a pop of color and freshness.
  • to taste grated parmesan (to garnish) Adds a nutty, cheesy flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pan, heat over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion (if using). Cook until the beef is mostly browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Carefully drain excess fat from the pan.
  3. Add diced cremini mushrooms to the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
  4. Pour in whole milk or heavy cream, cream cheese, and water. Stir well and let it cook gently until the cream cheese melts.
  5. Remove from heat. Season with salt and cracked pepper, adjusting to taste.
  6. Pour the creamy beef mixture over cooked pasta or egg noodles. Toss until well-coated.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro and grated parmesan. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use quality beef for richer flavor. Don’t rush the mushrooms' cooking process to develop flavors. Ensure the pasta is cooked al dente for better sauce absorption. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
