  • 1 tsp seasoning salt Balances the flavors.
  • ½ tsp chili powder Adds warmth and spice.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start with a large pumpkin and scoop out the seeds, placing both seeds and stringy bits in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Fill the bowl with water and run your hands through it to separate the seeds from the stringy bits, then rinse the seeds in a colander and blot them dry.
Coating and Baking
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cleaned pumpkin seeds with melted butter (or your choice of oil), Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, chili powder, and garlic powder. Toss thoroughly.
  2. Transfer the seasoned seeds to a baking sheet, spread them evenly in a single layer, and preheat your oven to 300°F.
  3. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, stirring halfway through. The seeds are ready when they turn golden and crunchy.

Notes

Experiment with different seasonings. For a sweeter twist, add cinnamon and sugar. Let the seeds cool completely before storing to maintain crunchiness.
