Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 11x15 baking dish with foil, lightly coating it with nonstick spray.
- Slice the slider rolls in half and place the bottoms into the prepared baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard until combined; set aside.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions, stirring until soft and golden.
- Add lean ground beef to the skillet, cooking until no longer pink. Break the meat into crumbles and mix with onions.
- Drain excess fat, then stir in French Onion Soup Mix and Steak Seasoning.
- Fold in the mayonnaise mixture until the beef is evenly coated.
- Spread the beef mixture over the bottom halves of the slider rolls, then top with slices of American cheese and pickle slices.
- Place the tops of the slider rolls on and gently press down.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven, keep covered for an additional 5-10 minutes before uncovering.
Notes
Consider caramelized onions or jalapeños for a spicy twist. Swap American cheese for sharp cheddar or provolone for a different flavor.
