Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Arrange all the fresh ingredients on plates, grouping similar kinds together.
Garlic Oil
- Heat the cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once it's hot, add the minced garlic, frying until it turns light brown. Transfer the garlic oil to a bowl, allowing it to cool.
Broth Creation
- In a large pot, add the chicken stock cubes, water, and ground white pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Cooking Process
- Once boiling, add the napa cabbage first, letting it cook for 1 minute.
- Add each ingredient in batches: start with fish balls, followed by chicken, tofu, shiitake mushrooms, white mushrooms, shrimp, salmon, scallops, and finally the baby bok choy.
- Cook in 2 to 3 batches for optimal flavor and texture.
- Drizzle the garlic oil over the bubbling broth and stir. Serve the cooked ingredients in bowls along with some flavorful soup.
- Enjoy with soy sauce and chili pepper as condiments.
Continuation
- Keep adding the remaining ingredients to the pot and let them simmer until everything is thoroughly cooked.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the sliced chicken in soy sauce and a dash of sesame oil for at least 30 minutes before adding it. Feel free to add miso paste or herbs like cilantro for additional layers of flavor. Experiment with dipping sauces using soy sauce, chili paste, sesame oil, or garlic.
