For the Smoky Seedy Drizzle
  • 3 tbsp Mixed Seeds Adds a rich, nutty flavor.
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes Adds a slight kick.
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika Enhances the smoky flavor.

Method

Preheat the Oven
  1. Start by heating your oven to 200°C (400°F) fan.
Prepare the Broccoli
  1. Cut each broccoli head in half lengthways, then cut each piece into large wedges.
Season the Broccoli
  1. Place the broccoli wedges on a lined baking tray. Drizzle generously with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Massage the oil and seasoning into the florets for an even coating.
Roast the Broccoli
  1. Cook the broccoli in the oven on the middle shelf for about 20 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.
Make the Caesar-ish Sauce
  1. Finely chop ⅔ of the capers. In a bowl, combine them with the remaining sauce ingredients: soya yogurt, nutritional yeast, miso paste, Dijon mustard, caper brine, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Prepare the Smoky Seedy Drizzle
  1. In a small frying pan over medium heat, toast the mixed seeds for a couple of minutes until they just begin to brown. Add the sesame oil and olive oil and cook for an additional minute. Stir in the chili flakes, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Assemble the Dish
  1. Spread a generous portion of the creamy sauce on the bottom of a large plate. Arrange the roasted broccoli on top and drizzle with the remaining sauce and the smoky seedy drizzle. Top with a few leftover capers if desired.

Notes

Ensure the broccoli is dry before roasting; for added flavor, experiment with different seed blends. Adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
