Main Ingredients
  • 2 pkg 2 (3 oz) pkgs ramen noodles (seasoning packets discarded) Provides a chewy texture that's comforting and enjoyable.
  • 2 tsp sesame oil Imparts a rich aroma and flavor.
  • 1 tsp minced garlic Adds depth and warmth to the flavor profile.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Salty, umami-packed sauce that marries all components.
  • 1 tsp brown sugar Balances the saltiness with a hint of sweetness.
  • 2 tsp sriracha sauce Adds a delightful kick of heat.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions and discard the seasoning packet. Once cooked, drain the water and set the noodles aside.
Sauce Preparation
  1. Heat a small skillet over medium heat and add the sesame oil.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 60 seconds, stirring consistently to avoid burning.
  3. Remove the skillet from the heat and add the soy sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha. Whisk to combine.
Combine and Serve
  1. In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked noodles with the sauce until well-coated.
  2. Serve warm and garnish with fresh green onions, sesame seeds, or other favorite toppings.

Notes

For added protein, consider using grilled chicken, tofu, or shrimp. You can also toss in stir-fried vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli. If you desire a creamier texture, a drizzle of sesame dressing or peanut sauce can enhance the dish.
